CLUB BLUE BAND DIRECTOR

Ren Ponsor-DeChant comes to Club Blue with a strong background as both an educator and conductor. A graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.A. in Music Education and an M.A. in Teaching, Ren has spent more than a decade performing, teaching, and leading bands across San Diego and beyond. Most recently, Gunnery Sergeant Ponsor-DeChant served as Enlisted Conductor with Marine Band San Diego, directing both ceremonies and concerts. With a passion for music education and a proven record of leadership, Ren is excited to continue building our band’s traditions while helping students grow as musicians and individuals.
